Saying our instructions

This morning we were recording each other reading out our instructions. The instructions were on how to make our own invention of a phone. We made sure we read them out clearly so that someone could follow them. 


Chinese New Year! 

This week is Chinese New Year, we have been looking at what is done to celebrate this. Today we decorated Chinese Dragons with the colours they are for Chinese New Year. Do you know what colours these are? 


This weeks progress goes to Charlie! He has been working really hard on his 2’s, 5’s and 10 times table in maths. Well done Charlie! Do you know your times tables? 

Certificates of the week!

There were two superstars in class 4 this week, because of this they each recieved a certificate in assembly. Aston received one for a great attitude in literacy and super writing. Kyle also received a certificate for working really hard with his letter formation. Who will get a certificate next week?


This week we have been planning and editing a draft of our stories to write out on Friday. We have enjoyed being editors for our stories and we are excited to write out our final draft? What would your story be about?

Homemade hot air balloon!

Our topic is currently flight, also we have been reading hot air in literacy, so today we got the opportunity to make our very own hot air balloon. As a group we put paper mache on a blow up balloon. Once its dry we are going to paint it, which we are very excited for. What colour do you think we should paint it?

Operation Christmas child!

Today we have been learning about operation Christmas child. We have been choosing different items we would put in our shoe boxes. We have been learning about the importance of donating and thinking about the people around the world who are not as fortunate and who do not receive the same opportunities as we do. What would you put in your shoe box?

Measuring Using Centimetres And Millimetres.

This week we have been learning to measure using centimetres and millimetres. We have enjoyed converting centimetres to millimetres and practising our measuring skills. We used our place value knowledge to convert centimetres to millimetres. How many millimetres are there in a centimetre? Metre?
